N.I.E (Newspaper in education)
In term 2 this year room 22 has been doing N.I.E. N.I.E stands for newspaper in education. We do our work in the newspaper because there is a whole page of kids activities about climate change, water, rubbish, energy, transport, food, buildings and future. We get a newspaper each day from the day before and complete the tasks on the page. Each day we focus on one of the problems, so we would focus on climate change for the first day then the next day we would do water and so on. Once we had done the activities Miss Tucker would write up some activities on the board about that days paper for us to do.

We have had a fantastic couple of days making and 'scientifically exploring' Oobleck in Science. If your household is mysteriously running out of cornflour then Oobleck might be being created at your place! If you'd like to make some all you need is 1 and a half cups of cornflour, 1/2 a cup of water, and a teaspoon of food colouring to make it look pretty. Have a go - it really is fun stuff.

Chocolate selling prizes.....
Hi , Here is an update on how the chocolate sales turned out.........
Chocolate selling is a fun job that takes a lot of dedication and hard work but in the end its worth it . We were the class that won so we know a lot about chocolate selling. We won a hundred dollars for our class. We haven’t done any thing with it yet. We didn’t do it for the money we did it for the school and fun. Our class did great. Rhiannon got a $150 voucher for The Warehouse and Emma and Alisha got an mp3 player each. We are very proud of ourselves and can’t wait to spend our prize money. We were also the first class to return all of our chocolate money and were rewarded with lots of little bars of chocolates. Due to our hard work and the hard work of other Kawekians, Kaweka won another badge for the team shield. Go Kaweka!!
